Welsh coach Ryan Giggs was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of domestic violence against his girlfriend Kate Greville, reports The Sun.
Giggs, 46, was taken to the Pendleton Police Department after a distress signal at his home in Worsley at 10:05 p.m. local time on Sunday. A police spokesman said that “about a 30-year-old woman received minor injuries but did not need treatment, and a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.” Welsh officials said he denied all allegations against him and cooperated with law enforcement. The legendary footballer was also released on bail.

Ryan Giggs himself had to give a press conference today to announce his call-ups for the matches with Ireland and Finland. However, the Football Association of Wales announced that they are canceling it, adding that they are aware of the incident with their coach, but for now they will not comment on the topic.
