The Vietnam Grand Prix has been dropped from the 2021 Formula 1 calendar, but the record-breaking 23 races will take place during the 2021 season. This shows the officially announced preliminary calendar, which features the expected debut for Saudi Arabia, as well as the return to Sao Paulo of the Brazilian Grand Prix. The date of April 25, when Formula 1 drivers had to drive on the streets of Hanoi in Vietnam, remains vacant, and there are already candidates for it.

“For now, we plan to hold the 2021 races in front of fans, and we hope that will happen. We have already proven that we can travel and run races in a safe environment, and I personally think we need to look ahead and keep going. “We are doing it despite the virus and are also pleased that Saudi Arabia will be part of our calendar,” said Formula One CEO Chase Carey.
